Ashley has an extensive background in the property industry, going back more than 30 years. As the CEO of the Property Institute since 2015-2018, he has transformed that organisation into a highly visible property advocacy body. He was CEO of the Auckland Property Investors Association between 2005 & 2007, and PropertyPlus between 2007 & 2008. He was the youngest person ever elected to the Napier City Council and served on that Authority between 1989 &1998. Ashley has a high media profile, is frequently quoted on radio and in print and appears regularly as a guest commentator and industry expert in national media and television programmes.
